IGCSE Mathematics practice questions by topic

Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics (0580) spans nine syllabus strands. Each page below takes one topic and works through exam-style questions the way a marker wants to see them, with method marks made explicit.

All 41 syllabus topics

How to work through IGCSE Mathematics

  1. Number and Algebra first. Later strands assume you can factorise, rearrange and handle indices fluently.
  2. Show every line of working. Most marks in 0580 are method marks, awarded even when the final answer is wrong.
  3. Keep full calculator accuracy through a calculation and round only the final answer, to 3 significant figures unless told otherwise.
  4. Check answers by substituting back. It costs seconds and catches almost every sign error.
