How to work through IGCSE Additional Mathematics

  1. Functions, quadratics and indices come first. Calculus and trigonometry both assume them.
  2. 0606 expects exact answers in surd or logarithmic form far more often than 0580 does. Read the wording carefully.
  3. Show the differentiation or integration step explicitly before substituting limits or coordinates.
  4. Work in radians unless a question states degrees. Check your calculator mode at the start of every session.
